Andre Bernier is an American meteorologist currently working at WJW/ Fox 8 as a weatherman. Andre in 1988 became part of the WJW/ Fox8 weather team. His interest in meteorology began when he was only 4 years old. Andre from an approaching storm would notice dark clouds.
With the help of mentors such as Jim Phillip, the current heard on WBSM, Jim Loomis, Stann Lipp of WBSM, and Dick Stevens. He was able to polish his skills as a broadcaster. Bernier even went on by copying the late Charlie Taylor, meteorologist for WLNE-TV to educate himself in synoptic meteorology (forecasting). His studios up to the 1970s remained in New Bedford.
